Limited edition laptop skins

I like dressing up (no, not in a pervy way) and now I can dress my laptop up too with these funky limited edition Artist Series Laptop Skins.

They’re really easy to apply and cover most laptops up to 15″ and even better are reusable and removable. Perfect to protect your beautiful macbook air and comes in a variety of designs, you can choose from”Cable Cranes,” by Nanami Cowdroy; “Jealousy,” by Jen Lobo; “Underworld,” by Colin Thompson; or “Shore” by Lawrence Yang, all very nice even if the design names are a bit weird.

Website Wednesday: myonlinesafe.com

Do you have copies of all your vital documents and receipts? and what would you do if they got lost, stolen or damaged? …errrr panic?!  I think most of us would like to have them all stored safely in a secure place but in reality I don’t think many of us do.

myonlinesafe.com is an online ultra secure digital filing cabinet which makes your documents available 24 hours a day, worldwide. Whether it’s poilcy documents for your home insurance, receipts of big purchases or vital documents you need for your gap year. They are all stored safely on line for you to access if ever the need arises.

It can help you:

  • Store serial numbers, receipts, invoices, and descriptions of your valuables, clothes, furniture and fixings.
  • Store copies of your vital travel documents, itineraries, and serial numbers of valuables, no need to carry photocopies.
  • Secure copies of vital documents for your vehicles, insurances, wills and pensions.
  • Create a “”lost/stolen”" report for police and insurance claims.
  • Calculates the total value of items stored to check you are not underinsured for your home contents.
  •  Use the automated renewal reminder service for date sensitive items.
  • Access links to emergency credit card contact numbers, locksmiths, glaziers, plumbers etc in times of crisis.
  • Upload your contacts and address book.
  • Send “”free”" SMS Texts in times of emergency.

It seems like such a good idea, now I’ve just got to a) find all my docs so I can get them online and b) hope no one ever hacks my account as they’ll have access to my whole life and there will be lots of nikki girlgeeks running round everywhere!

I like flowers but not in my router

Most of us have got wireless routers at home, but this one is cunningly disguised as a vase - you’d never have guessed it would you (not).  So now it just looks like a router with flowers?!

It comes with a variety of ports including LAN, phone and DSL and I suppose the design is pretty sleek. Does this successfully bridge the gap between lifestyle and technology though?  Not sure, it reminds me of those VW Beetles that have those daisy vase thingeys on the dash!

LED colour changing iPod dock

I know this is yet another iPod dock but this one is quite funky.  It’s a cube of color and sound which will illuminate your music and complement your mood. You simply select your favourite colour or if you prefer let it cycle through them all whilst listening to your choonz.  It also has two Reson8 speakers and a passive subwoofer so has decent sound quality too.

It’s available on line for around £40. Check out  www.ihomeaudio.com for more details.
