Top 5 Valentine’s Day pressie ideas

It’s nearly Valentines Day so here are some gift ideas to make a change from the usual flowers and chocolates and underwear and candlelit dinners – oh yeh, that’s me dreaming…

Check them out, I like alllllll of them if anyone fancies surprising me ?!

Valentine Heart Earphones

Cute, I *luv* these little things, then again I like most heart things – how old am I ?! They’re compatible with devices with a standard 3.5 mm headphone socket so perfect for listening to your iPod on your way to your Valentine’s date. Ear bud is about 1.25″ on a on 45″ plastic cord. Let’s get it on!

3D Valentines Card

So if you fancy getting creative for your luved one then why not have a go at making your own custom 3D card. Ok, so really all it is is a card covered in little hearts (awwww) with a pair of 3D sunglasses so it *looks* like the hearts are all a float behind the surface of the paper. Simply express your finest words of undying luv in black ink on the top and the text will float above the sea of hearts – how romantic?!

I Love You Music Pillow

Not quite sure how I’d react if someone got me this, I’d be like errrr thanks you must *really* luv me, but it’s just so tacky it makes me really like it in a weird way. You can connect to any external music sources using the 3.5mm stereo audio connector. Just pop your head on the pillow lie back and listen to your favourite choonz, just don’t take it out of the house!!

Handy Heart Warmer

Cold hands – warm heart ? Now you can warm your hands too with this heart shaped pocket size hand warmer. You can warm up your luv forever!

USB Aromatherapy oil burner

This is definitely an original take on a memory stick! You simply add one drop of the included aromatherapy oil onto the little X, insert into a USB drive (horizontal drives preferred to prevent drips) and then you’re office will smell all yummy and lavendery . There is no software or drivers to install, the oil burner just needs to get warm. Ahhhh the sweet smell of success!

Geek Chic: Philippe Starck iPod dock

This is geekchic at it’s best. Check out this iPod dock from designer Philippe Starck.

Its pretty stunning looking and comprises of a pair of wireless speakers, each one is about two and a half feet tall and designed to provide 360 degree sound. The iPod dock is housed in the top of the speaker and they are also compatible with the iPhone for music playback.

There is the option to stream music wirelessly to the speakers from your PC over WiFi or via Bluetooth and they are expected to go on sale next year retailing around £1000.

Seems expensive but then again you wouldn’t expext something by Philippe Starck to be cheap now would you!  Love it or leave it?

Website Wednesday: www.zilok.com

Zilok is a free website that allows to you rent anything online, well – within reason, I don’t suppose you could rent out your dog! But still, it’s a great idea given the credit crunch and all that.  The listings range from power tools, camera equipment, furniture, Nintendo Wii, even Gucci handbags, the list goes on. So if you’ve got a mountain bike sitting at home (like I do) you could rent it out and make a few pennies, but what if they break it ?!

The site is broken down into categories such as sports & leisure making it easy to navigate and pretty intuitive to use. You just list your item and are notified when another user submits a booking request for your item. If you choose to accept (the mission), Zilok provides a rental agreement, you then loan the item and away you go. It also allows both the renters and owners to leave feedback which is always useful, especially if they do one and nick all your stuff!

Hello Kitty DSLite Stylus

Ok so does anyone else out there think Hello Kitty is seeking world domination? Everywhere you look Hello Kitty pops up bringing us more and more random products, they’ll be making a Hello Kitty shaped car next, or has that already been done?! Anyway I digress, for those of you that like a bit of Kitty – so to speak- check out these stylus (or is it stlyi) for the DSLite which come in two different designs and are pretty cute looking too.

Available on www.strapya-world.com for around £15

Juicy Couture USB Keyring

I really like this USB keyring from Juicy as a) it looks quite cute and b) it’s practical too. Dont know about you but I always seem to have a zillion things in my handbag and end up searching somewhere at the bottom for a USB stick. With this you can just put your keys on it and its all in one place, useful methinks. Only thing is it’s only 1GB so not a huge amount of storage and it costs around £45 which is pretty pricey compared to other ones you can get, but they just dont look as good. Nice Valentines pressie, please anyone?
