My ‘Something for the Weekend’ gadgets

Here are my something for the weekend gadgets from Sunday 25th October, the one where my dress appeared to be a lot shorter than I thought !!!!

iLloom Balloons

iLLoom Balloons are a fun party or special occation decoration. Instead of having your standard balloon for Halloween or for your birthday, you can buy these balloons that light up once they’re inflated. Each illoom contains a little LED light that is triggered to switch on once you pull out the toggle and blow into the balloon. You can blow into them manually but they also work well with helium.

Each illoom balloon lasts for around 15 hours. Available both in supermarkets and online priced at around £3 for a pack of 5.

Nano – Copter Mark 2

The Nano-Copter Mark 2 is a super-small, yet highly durable remote controlled flying helicopter toy. Its light-weight rotor blades are safe enough to use indoors, but it also has enough control and power to hold its own outdoors in windy conditions. The Nano-Copter is manoeuvred by an infra-red remote control, which also contains a built-in charger, which fully charges the device in just 15-20 mins. The copter itself contains a lightweight rechargeable battery and has a flying time of around 10 minutes when fully charged.

It has a flying range of about 5-10 meters, which is enough to have the most amount of fun possible and it won’t fly off into the distance so you can never retrieve it again.

The Nano-Copter Mark 2 is available now online and in store for around £30.

Qlocktwo

The wall mountable or stand-up Qlocktwo uses words to tell you the time rather than the usual numbered system. The words change in 5 minute intervals, but four little ‘minute dots’ give you the minutes in between each of those 5 minutes.

The very stylish and high fashion design uses acrylic glass with polished edges for the front and the body itself is made from wood; four layers of lack. The DCF-77 time-signal receiver gives you second accurate time-telling without manual setting, it also has an automatic summer/winter daylight-savings time detection, a light sensor for automatic adjustment to ambient light manual brightness control and has a fairly low energy consumption due to the use of LED lights.

It is available in 6 colours and will hit the UK around December with a UK price yet to be confirmed. The European price is currently 885 Euros – around £800.

The Qlocktwo ‘pocket’ is also available right now to download online as an ‘App’ for around 59p
