Geek Chic: Philippe Starck iPod dock

This is geekchic at it’s best. Check out this iPod dock from designer Philippe Starck.

Its pretty stunning looking and comprises of a pair of wireless speakers, each one is about two and a half feet tall and designed to provide 360 degree sound. The iPod dock is housed in the top of the speaker and they are also compatible with the iPhone for music playback.

There is the option to stream music wirelessly to the speakers from your PC over WiFi or via Bluetooth and they are expected to go on sale next year retailing around £1000.

Seems expensive but then again you wouldn’t expext something by Philippe Starck to be cheap now would you!  Love it or leave it?
