Wireless Weather(man) Station

Us brits love the weather, it’s pretty much all we ever talk about, so check out this wireless weather station. I know that may sound a teensy bit boring but this one is fab as there is a weatherman on it who changes his outfit and attitude when the temperature changes - all 15 of them, hang on that’s worse than me!

It measures indoor and outdoor temperature and comes with a wireless thermometer sensor with a wireless range of up to 100 meters. That means you can pop the sensor outside and get the outdoor temperature in the morning when you’re choosing your outfit for the day!  It also has the date and time and an alarm function.

It’s available on line for £30. For more details check out

Great idea for taking on hols if you fancy playing a bit of music, chillin’ by the pool in your private villa… dream on!

Eye-Fi cards - not good for thieves!

Alison DeLauzon lost two digitial cameras full of snaps and video of her young son - which you would be gutted about on more than one front.

But hold on then something happened that she didn’t expect at all. The camera sent photos of the thieves to her computer!

The reason for this was down to the Eye-Fi 2 gigabyte SD memory card. These cards have wireless capabilities that upload photos to a home computer or online photosharing service when a familiar wi-fi signal is detected. The thieves, presumably unaware of this technology, passed by an unsecured wireless network and all the pictures on her camera - including snaps of the thieves - were uploaded to her account - brilliant !

Furthermore Ms.DeLauzon recognised the thieves who worked at a restaurant where she had dined and got her camera equipment back too. Don’t you just love technology!
